The 'Naturrecht Feyerabend' (Natural Law Feyerabend) is Kant's only lecture on natural law which is still available today. He held it during the summer semester of 1784, at the same time as he was working on his 'Grundlegung zur Metaphysik der Sitten' (Groundwork for the Metaphysics of Morals). This is why the key thoughts from the 'Groundwork' recur in the long introduction to this lecture. This introduction at times almost reads like a separate commentary on the published work. (A separate list of parallel passages which is included in the index shows individual examples of this). This is also the reason why the introduction to the lecture is reprinted separately in the first volume of this set and is analyzed lexically. The reprint of the 'Naturrecht Feyerabend' in Volume 27 of the Academy edition however contains so many typographical errors which distort the meaning that these errors can no longer be corrected here by providing lists of typographical errors. This is why for the first time the index contains a new critical edition of the entire text (along with the apparatus of variants missing in the Academy edition). The 'Naturrecht Feyerabend' is being published for the first time in a reliable text edition. Jetzt reinlesen: Inhaltsverzeichnis(pdf)

Forschungen und Materialien zur deutschen Aufklärung / Abteilung III: Indices. Kant-Index. Section 2
    • Kant's body of works on logic has two sides. On the one hand it reflects the philosophy of the Enlightenment. Anyone wanting to gain vivid insights into the intellectual world of the German Enlightenment cannot ignore Kant‹s works on logic. On the other hand these works, which include his reflections on his legacy, transcripts of his lectures and the Jäsche-Handbuch, cover a period of more than 40 years and are of great interest for his developmental history. They are at the same time the nucleus of critical philosophy and provide fundamental insight into the origins of the ›Critique of Pure Reason‹, thus contributing more than any commentary to the understanding of the work.

      Zwischen Aufklärung und Vernunftkritik
    • The first reception of Kant directly after publication of the ›Critique of Pure Reason‹ is one of the most momentous and fascinating stages in the recent history of philosophy. Surprisingly not much research has been done on this. This volume is the result of an exhibition of early Kantianism at the University of Jena in 1993. It helps to make the source material more easily accessible. Chapters on Ch. G. Schütz, C. Ch. E. Schmid, the ›Allgemeine Literatur-Zeitung‹, Reinhold, Schiller, Hufeland among others provide new insight into this early stage of Kant's reception. There are approximately 100 illustrations which present very valuable source material, some of which was previously completely unknown.
