Impressed with his dying act of sacrifice they offer him the opportunity to save his wretched soul. He must help the good angels fight the demon angels, by helping troubled humans. They send him back to earth with a new body and a new name: Daniel Peter. His mission: to save Lily Flowers. The demon angel named Insecurity is tormenting Lily, pushing her down a dark path filled with alcohol, drugs, and all the wrong men. Daniel must help get her back on track, and convince her she is worthy of a good man namely Liam Patrick, a childhood friend of Lily's, philanthropist, and all-around good guy. Their falling in love will save her. There is one small problem: Liam can't stand Lily's new lifestyle or the company she's been keeping. For her own part, Lily thinks Liam has grown self-righteous and boring. Not to mention that if the demon angel Insecurity discovers who Daniel really is, he will destroy him. Other than that, it's is a piece of cake.

In 1818 the university installed a chemistry lab in the former kitchens of the Hohentübingen Castle. It soon became one of the first research sites of biochemistry worldwide. During the era of Felix Hoppe-Seyler, appointed professor in 1861, the field of biochemistry in Tuebingen conducted outstanding research. He examined the red blood pigment and named it “hemoglobin.” In 1869, his student, Friedrich Miescher made the groundbreaking discovery of a substance he named “Nuklein” while working in the castle laboratory. Today this substance is known as DNA and RNA, the carriers of all genetic information. This little monograph illustrates the history of biochemistry in Tuebingen and puts the most important exhibits of the museum space “Castle Laboratory Tuebingen” into historical context.

Die Bachelorarbeit untersucht die Amerikanisierung deutscher Wahlkampfpraktiken am Beispiel der Bundestagswahl 2009. Sie basiert auf der Amerikanisierungsthese und gliedert sich in fünf methodische Schritte. Zunächst werden Veränderungen in Wahlkämpfen beschrieben und die Amerikanisierung problematisiert. Anschließend wird ein Transferfiltermodell entwickelt, um institutionelle Rahmenbedingungen zu analysieren. Der Vergleich mit dem amerikanischen Präsidentschaftswahlkampf 2008 erfolgt anhand spezifischer Merkmale. Ziel ist es, die Ausmaß und Merkmale der Amerikanisierung im deutschen Kontext zu bewerten, gestützt durch qualitative und quantitative Belege.

An einem kalten Samstag im April versammeln sich Technikenthusiasten vor dem beeindruckenden Glaswürfel, der als Symbol für eine technische Revolution gilt. Der Verkaufsstart zieht Tausende an, die in einem regelrechten Konsumrausch das begehrte Produkt ergattern wollen. Die Autorin thematisiert, wie große Konzerne wie Apple den Konsum als neues gesellschaftliches Ethos inszenieren und die individuelle Selbstverwirklichung durch Konsum fördern, was zu einer tiefgreifenden Veränderung in der westlichen Konsumkultur führt.
