Das vorliegende Buch gibt erstmalig einen umfassenden Überblick über den Stand auf diesem Gebiet und insbesondere über die Verfahren der Schadensbehebung und Wiederherstellung der vollen Gebaruchsfähigkeit überalterter, schadhafter oder teilweise zerstörter unterirdischer Rohrleitungen. Darüber hinaus geben die Autoren eine ausführliche Darstellung der Rohrwerkstoffe und Rohrverbindungen sowie weiterer leitungsspezifischer Randbedingungen und deren Veränderungen seit Beginn der modernen Kanalisationstechnik in Deutschland im 19. Jahrhundert sowie die Schadensarten, -ursachen und -folgen als wesentliche Grundlagen für die Auswahl geeigneter Instandhaltungsmaßnahmen und deren Durchführung.
