Count data models are now integral to micro-econometric curricula and are supported by standard software. These methods have been widely applied in various fields, including labor, health, insurance, urban economics, and economic demography. Emerging methods are expected to become standard tools in the near future. While primarily aimed at empirical economists and applied econometricians, the book will also benefit statisticians and biometricians. The first edition, published in 1994, was titled "Count Data Models - Econometric Theory and an Application to Labor Mobility." This revised edition maintains the original's character and organization while expanding and updating its content. Many sections have been rewritten, and new topics have been introduced, including count data models for dependent processes.
