New York belongs to me (Simone de Beauvoir, 1947). That's what everyone who goes to New York likes to think - whether it is for business or a holiday. Everyone wants to take a bite out of the Big Apple, and many who have gone have found success. New York is expensive, hectic and loud - and yet it remains a world attraction. Which other city has so many splendid bridges, beautiful parks, famous museums and such an exciting skyline? Where else can you find Italy, Greece, Puerto Rico, the Russian Empire and China in the same place? And where else can you arrive at all the kitchens of the world by subway or streetcar?
