The traditional networks that once helped mitigate violence are now fragile, and the power of tradition is waning. This raises critical questions about leisure, dreams, and education within families, schools, and universities. The quest for personal development through global travel prompts a reevaluation of educational ideals that may no longer suffice in today's world. In light of global conflicts and events, these inquiries urge us to reflect on our roles in shaping the future. The International Conference on Computers Helping People with Special Needs serves as a crucial platform to address whether the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities in accessing ICT and developing their careers are still relevant. Although past conferences have not fully addressed these issues, the foundational goal of ICCHP since its inception in 1989 has been to focus on marginalized groups, fostering dialogue on Human Computer Interaction and the use of ICT for those with special needs. This ongoing mission highlights the importance of inclusivity and the need for continued advocacy in the realm of technology and accessibility.
