Igor Sacharow-Ross, who was born in eastern Siberia, left the USSR in 1978 and now lives in Germany. As one of the pioneers of interdisciplinary art, he has used in his artistic strategy the scientific methods of molecular biology, cancer and brain research, and genetic technology. In his laboratory-like installations and works, Sacharow-Ross succeeds in linking art with science and revealing the undiscovered universe within us. This catalogue was published to accompany the comprehensive exhibition at the Museum Moderner Kunst Passau Stiftung Wörlen in 2006 which featured works on paper and canvas, sculptures, installations and videos.
