When doctors first encounter sutureless anastomosis devices, they often remark on how easy it is to perform vascular anastomosis, leading some to believe that anyone could become a cardiovascular surgeon. This decline has been attributed to the rise of percutaneous procedures that allow non-surgeon doctors to perform tasks traditionally reserved for surgeons. However, the reality is different. Data indicates that cardiac surgery continues to thrive, defying the anticipated decline. Economically, CABG remains a mature market with significant opportunities, as evidenced by approximately 1,500,000 procedures performed annually worldwide, totaling nearly 2.5 billion US dollars.
