The feature of method shared by many projects of the architecture office Brandlhuber b & k+ is the autonomous process of their design, which is triggered by the literal application of external conditions (building regulations, technical prerequisites, etc.) combined with the building's inner functional logic. Brandlhuber B & k+ understands design not as the mere realization on an architectural idea, but as an attitude which doen's stop with the building completion and doesn't start with the first skectch. The direct translation of regulations into forms is less of an abandonment of every design pretension than the altering of norms and conventions inscribed in the very regulations; furthermore this is the rejection of a notion of architecture as sufficiently described, informed and updated is nothing more than typologies and styles.
