This project was created by Stephan Sigrist, Burkhard Varnholt, Simone Achermann, and Gerd Folkers from W. I. R. E. Web for Interdisciplinary Research & Expertise, an independent think tank associated with the Collegium Helveticum of ETH and the University of Zurich. W. I. R. E. focuses on global trends in trade, society, and life sciences, supported by an international board of experts and pioneering thinkers.
