The Encyclopedia of the Righteous Among the Nations contains the personal stories of each of the men and women who risked their own and their families' lives to rescue Jews during the Holocaust, divided by countries. Each entry includes descriptions of the original contact; aid extended; dangers and risks faced by rescuers at the time; availability of evidence from the rescued persons; and other relevant data authenticating each unique story. The Encyclopedia presents moving accounts of some of the most heroic acts of our time, and a fitting tribute to the men and women who performed them. The volume includes the stories of the righteous from the following Albania, Belarus, Bulgaria, Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, and Yugoslavia.
