It begins with an overview of previous research, followed by the introduction of a novel approach for constructing the tetracyclic model system in just 8 steps with a 20% yield. The author then details the first successful total synthesis of Maoecrystal V, achieved in 17 steps with a 1.2% yield, exploring four strategies for creating the essential tetrahydrofuran oxa-bridge skeleton. This work aims to enhance synthetic strategies for complex natural products.
