The Waves

The narrative unfolds through soliloquies from six characters—Bernard, Susan, Rhoda, Neville, Jinny, and Louis—each reflecting on their lives and experiences. A seventh character, Percival, remains silent, adding depth to the exploration of their interconnectedness. Interspersed with these personal reflections are nine third-person interludes that vividly depict a coastal landscape, capturing the passage of time from sunrise to sunset.
