This book proposes a comprehensive approach to designing business process management (BPM) systems that extends beyond mere process modeling. Utilizing a refined variant of Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN), the authors address critical issues overlooked in the BPMN 2.0 standard, emphasizing modality and actor/user interaction modeling while introducing an improved communication concept.
