A summer at the beach brings John and Savannah together and a strong friendship develops. As they begin to fall head over heels for one another John breaks the news of him being deployed off to fight in the war. Both are heart broken to be left without each other and exchange writing letters every day. --A 'Dear John' is commonly known as a letter sent to break up a relationship, usually one that has been broken up by separation from war.-- Can they keep their young love together, or will their relationship crumble from the distance?
