Meer over het boek

Intergovernmental organisations play a crucial role in fostering international cooperation, especially as global environmental changes and various conflicts intensify their significance. To address these challenges, it is essential for these organisations to implement personnel policies that prioritize diversity and its management. Understanding and managing human diversity is a complex yet vital aspect of organisational life, requiring empathy, openness, and a willingness to engage with new perspectives. The case study explored in this work demonstrates how diversity can provide varied insights and assessments of diversity management concepts within an intergovernmental context. As empirical research in this area is still emerging, the methodological insights gained during the field study are particularly valuable. This study aims to enhance the understanding and management of diversity in intergovernmental organisations. I am especially grateful to Prof. Dr. Michael Kirk for his unwavering support and constructive feedback throughout the research process, which greatly improved its quality. Additionally, I extend my thanks to Dr. Michael Stephan for his willingness to second mark the thesis.
