This volume contains the papers read at the 10th MICAH (10th Mainz International Colloquium on Ancient Hebrew), held at the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz, October 28-30, 2011. For publication, most of the papers, which were read in German, English, and French, have been expanded considerably, so as to take into account the most recent research and the discussions at the Colloquium itself. The fifteen studies in this volume cover the full scope of the biennial MICAH meetings with regard to the grammar and syntax of Hebrew, the Canaanite, Aramaic and cognate languages of the first millennium B.C.E., Northwest Semitic epigraphy in general, Dead Sea Scrolls Hebrew and Masoretic studies
