Meer over het boek

Susan first spots her ex-lover in a bookshop on the outskirts of Washington. When she sees him again on her home territory, she becomes convinced that he has come to taunt her, to upset and destroy her measured life. As the suffocating summer draws on she becomes unsure of the reality of things.
