Renowned for her beloved children's literature, Julia Donaldson has authored modern classics like The Gruffalo and its sequel, selling over 17 million copies globally. Her works extend to the popular What the Ladybird Heard series, as well as fiction such as the Princess Mirror-Belle books, illustrated by Lydia Monks. A celebrated poet and playwright, she was the Children's Laureate from 2011 to 2013 and received a CBE for her contributions to literature. Julia resides between West Sussex and Edinburgh with her husband, Malcolm.
