Meer over het boek

Kalin Lindena, recently appointed professor at the Karlsruhe Academy, has designed a choreographic course that transforms the Kunstverein into a vibrant installation. She enhances the 500 sqm bright cantilever hall with semi-transparent curtains, creating a color-glittering stage. This concept draws from Hans Jantzen's idea of the "diaphane structure," which examines the colorful translucence of gothic stained glass windows. Lindena's work embodies this notion, merging interior and exterior spaces, art and life, and the mundane with the celestial into a unified continuum. The exhibition space becomes a dynamic place of appearance, showcasing Lindena's abstract steel sculptures, which are playfully scattered throughout the area. Upon entering, visitors find themselves among her "Statisten" or "Extras," prompting a shift from passive observers to active participants on this stage. The sculptures, while seemingly static, extend beyond themselves, inviting exploration of the possibilities within the exhibition. Visitors are encouraged to navigate their own paths and discover their unique places within this engaging environment. Exhibition: Kunstverein Reutlingen, Reutlingen, Germany (07.12.2014-01.02.2015)
