Set in the late 1990s during a tumultuous period in Nepal, the story intertwines the lives of four distinct characters in the town of Khaireni Tar amid an election campaign. Rishi, a disillusioned communist tutor, Giridhar, an alcoholic political leader, Om, a kind-hearted ex-Gurkha, and Binita, a reclusive widow running a tea stall, face personal and national crises. As the elections draw near, each must navigate their choices, shaping both their futures and the fate of their country.
