No Mike Hammer, no Tiger Mann, and a much more conventional story this time about Gillian Burke, a cop dismissed for his maverick methods, now asked to help the Force in its struggle against the Family (old Papa Menes; gladiator Mark Shelby; and Verdon, a ""first class funeral director. He makes his own clients""). This is so straight that Burke (you'll like him) is even romancing a girl. But then of course there are a good many of the sadosexual special effects (the man who bottles the belly buttons he collects) which contribute to Mickey's usual Finn.
