The Railway Children

When their father is mysteriously taken away, Roberta, Peter and Phyllis move with their mother to a house in the country. Intrigued by the nearby railway, they soon become friends with the station-master and Perks the porter. At first, railway life is a novelty to them, but after they save a train from a landslide and certain disaster, the railway plays an increasingly important part in their lives.
