In Trenton, New Jersey, things are about to get spooky as the legend of the Jersey Devil looms over the Pine Barrens. Yet, the true dangers lie deeper within, including an unexpected abundance of monkeys. Wulf Grimoire, a ruthless opportunist, has selected Martin Munch, a twenty-four-year-old boy genius with a doctorate in quantum physics, as his new partner in crime. While Grimoire seeks world domination, Munch's aspirations are far more modest, focused on securing a romantic encounter. Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum has Munch on her radar for failing to appear in court. Known for her luck and tenacity, Plum typically succeeds in her pursuits, but this time, she finds herself entangled with a monkey and a charismatic bounty hunter named Diesel. Diesel, who possesses unique tracking skills and a knack for charm, is also on the hunt for Grimoire and Munch. As Plum and Diesel navigate the eerie Barrens, they face challenges including cranberry bogs, the Jersey Devil, and, of course, a plethora of monkeys. Their adventure promises to be filled with humor, danger, and unexpected twists as they pursue their targets.
