Promise

Set in New England during 1957, the story follows the Kindred sisters, Ezra and Cinthy, who experience a childhood filled with love from their supportive parents and the Junkett family, their only Black neighbors. Their idyllic life in the picturesque village of Salt Point shifts as they enter adolescence, facing the harsh realities of changing perceptions from their white neighbors.
