Sarah and Tom are joined by the friends they met in their previous adventures. At the same time, readers meet some of the good people of the south, also battling against the Mages from their side of the barrier. How will they save the land? What will Sarah decide to do at the end of the trilogy? The Rising of the South is the third novel in the Anam Cara Trilogy, which follows Tom and Sarah's adventures trying to conquer the dark powers that threaten the land of North Feasgar. For older readers interested in psychology, the story can also be explored as an allegory.
