The plot revolves around King Verence's misguided invitation to the stylish Magpyrs, a group of urban vampires, into the rural kingdom of Lancre. Unbeknownst to him, this decision invites chaos, as the vampires, who prefer wine and fashion, clash with the formidable local witches: Granny Weatherwax, Nanny Ogg, Magrat, and Agnes.
