Beckford, East London, November 1977. Queen Elizabeth's Silver Jubilee tour is a fast-fading memory. ‘Docklands' and ‘Thatcher's Britain' are just over the horizon, but for aging, balding Teddy Boy Edward Caldecott, other storm clouds are gathering. Ted & Pterry is a modern urban fable set against a backdrop of racism, warring gangs, fabulous fashion and furious music. It is a world in which ‘dinosaurs' (both human and real) are endangered by the threatened destruction of their natural habitat at the hands of greedy developers and corrupt politicians.
