The Brothers Grimm were early 19th-century writers renowned for their fairy tales rooted in Scandinavian, Icelandic, and Germanic traditions. Initially, in 1812, the brothers aimed to preserve their folklore with just 86 stories that depicted the harsh realities of European peasant life.
