Every child has a moment when their parents fall from grace and become fallible humans. For Beth Schmitt, a young German girl, this fall was anything but easy. It is through violence and loss that she is forced to confront what it means for her father to be a high ranking Nazi officer. When her rose colored glasses fell and her innocence was stolen, friends disappeared and she had to start redefining what family could mean. Beth's Hope follows a woman haunted by her World War 2 experiences. She now has the challenge and opportunity to return to the place where the echoes of the innocents lost still linger. Her past has followed her and affected the way she and her children think about the world and now that place is calling her back home and it's time to finally tell them all her story.
