Jane's home life is far from charmed. First there's her mother, who's always drinking and doesn't ever seem to want her around. Then there's her mum's boyfriend, Danny, the latest in a long line of mean, drunk men, always bothering Jane. But Danny is planning something big; and it could give Jane the perfect means of escape from her humdrum existence. For now, Jane escapes into her imaginary world with her rescue dog, Molly.
