When a tornado hits Normal, Illinois, it damaged the local animal shelter leaving the animals stranded and in need of loving homes. Enter the geeky f@b 5 : earthy Lucy ; her sister and astronaut-in-training, Marina; robotics engineer, A.J.; math whiz and singer, Zara; and computer-coder and fashioista, Sofia. These young elementary school girls band together to help find ways to get the community to take in these critters until the repairs to the animals shelter are complete
