Accompanied by his Greek slave Demetrius, he journeys through Judea, meeting those whose lives were touched by Jesus. Ultimately, both characters embrace Christianity, leading to Marcellus's confrontation with Emperor Tiberius in Rome and a pivotal choice regarding his beliefs and loyalty.
