Set in September 1900 during the Boer War in South Africa, Simon Fonthill embarks on a critical mission with his wife Alice, "352" Jenkins, and tracker Mzingeli to meet General Kitchener in Pretoria. Armed with intelligence about an impending Boer attack on the Cape Colony, Fonthill faces the urgent challenge of locating and thwarting enemy forces. The journey takes a perilous turn when their train is derailed by hostile actions, adding urgency and danger to their quest.
