Thirty years after the discovery of several dozen alternative Earths—worlds where history has unfolded differently than our own—mysterious catastrophes begin to escalate. The unconventional scientist Faustaff, head of a clandestine organization dedicated to halting the destroyer squadrons, saving the threatened worlds, and uncovering the mysterious force generating the chaos, unexpectedly becomes a pawn of invisible powers. A turbulent chase unfolds from world to world: despite numerous attempts to eliminate him, Faustaff draws ever closer to his goal—encountering a culture of god-like beings who toy with creation itself.
