This is an amazing re-telling of a western woman's emotional and spiritual journey of discovery, as she is immersed in the beautiful ways of Hindu life in an Indian village outside of Udaipur. Accepted into the family of her Vaishnava, Kaartik, Sarah, (now Sarahji), slowly learns how to see the world with a calm, cool and relaxed mind. As she experiences this wonderful culture and its people, visiting temples for prayers, schools and orphanages to supply basic food and stationary, will she truly learn their way of life, or will her western raised values interfere with her wish to change her ways? On her second visit, she struggles with her independence, (or lack thereof), and finds herself struggling with certain aspects of Hindu life. When an old friend joins her for her last week, she struggles even further. After returning to Australia, she must decide if she will ever return? Or would this be her last visit to Kaartiks' home?
