Jeremy Laynor challenges the reader to find the 'soft spots' in their day and find time to pursue their own personal goal. For him, amongst many others, it was to write this book. A brilliant, straight forward read focusing on the analogy of sport, in this case basketball, and how to succeed in business. Even if you know nothing about basketball (you soon will!). In this personal journey, Laynor cleverly highlights the parallels between becoming a successful businessman to that of playing in a team sport. Not only did he find sports provided an outlet for him to express himself physically, but it also taught him about working with others - whether he was competing with them or against them. He attributes the Point Guard's assessment of a game with their vision of the court, leadership qualities and characteristics to excelling in a challenging leadership role in business. As he says, "Make it a point to know where you want to be and challenge yourself to get there!"
