Drawing on previously unexamined autobiographical testimony, lectures, and discussion notes, as well as Heidegger's 1929 Frankfurt lecture and Black Notebooks, the book reconstructs these overlooked debates, finding in them fruitful intellectual encounters rather than hostile confrontations"--
