The estate has been in the MacMartin family for three generations, beginning with George MacMartin's inheritance in 1716. Elizabeth Hamilton, the current owner, lives there with her son Stewart, who grew up with their cousin Alexander, brought into the family when Stewart was just 12. The narrative explores themes of family dynamics and legacy in a serene countryside setting.
