It all begins with a frozen girl in a lake. After being pulled from an ice-fishing hole, she has no memory of her life before, and her new friends, Lanya and Wodena, christen her Popsicle. But when talk turns to Christmas everyone is surprised to find Popsicle turns into an ice bear upon any mention of the day itself. Is this connected to the liver-shaped pendant found around her neck? Is any of it connected to the vampiric attacks happening in the nearby town? And what do the Royal Family and Navy have to do with this? When Popsicle's memories are recovered, she discovers she is at the center of events that are too much for her to handle alone. With the help of Prince Spike and friends she embarks on a quest to set things right for the Royal Family, the military and herself.
