An Exhibition. Written after a year-long stay in Bombay, the main part of " An Exhibition" can be partially called a "novella in verse" and is accessorized by 5 short stories of parallel theme. The essence of the lyrically explored idea in the novella is the possibility of literally and metaphysically returning to one's roots and starting life over again from within this self-created dimension. This is by no means a travel narrative recounting a visit to India (it is in fact an antidote to that), but is instead a rather spacious, cinematic mold for an experiment that any person/reader (especially in such a globalized time as ours) can insert themselves Is there a neutrality that every human being possesses that leaves our cultural/ethnic layer obtrusive, inimitable or even unnecessary? How easily can it be peeled off or put on? This is the hypothesis presented by "Kitaab."
