Nomads of the North

Neewa, a young black bear cub, experiences the world for the first time as he emerges from his den with his mother, Noozak. Born during an unusually long hibernation, Neewa is slightly older than expected when he finally sees the sunlight. Noozak, an elderly bear, takes her time adjusting to the warmth and new surroundings after months of darkness. The story captures their first moments in the valley, highlighting themes of discovery and the bond between mother and cub in the wilderness.
