The giant sea-snail has brought Doctor Dolittle and his companions home to England after their three-year voyage (“The Voyages of Doctor Dolittle”). The Doctor sets his Puddleby garden to rights and makes it the site of an animal-run zoo – an animal home, not an animal prison. Then with the help of his friends, he tackles a mystery at nearby Moorsden Manor.
