In 1965, a mysterious blue light from space grants extraordinary abilities to some individuals in Northern California, leading to their segregation as "Blues." These powers enhance human potential, but also attract the wrath of the malevolent Gray Man, formerly Horace LaFontaine, who seeks to destroy them. As the Blues unite to confront their enemy, they retreat to the forests, ultimately engaging in a climactic battle that tests their newfound strengths. Following their victory, the Blues integrate into society, seeking normalcy in their lives while navigating their unique abilities.
