The study investigates groundwater extraction in the northern German lowlands, focusing on a proposed factory's plan to pump 70 cubic meters of clean water per hour despite nearby contamination from a landfill. It examines the geological context, including two parallel faults that significantly influence groundwater flow, particularly in the uppermost layer with the highest conductivity. A MODFLOW model was employed to simulate the groundwater system, assessing the feasibility of the extraction while considering the area's hydrological dynamics.
