Set in 1942 Berlin, the story follows crime reporter Thomas Rost, who is coerced into stealing a holy relic for a high-ranking official after being released from Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp. The stakes are high, as refusing the task threatens the life of a close friend. The narrative intertwines themes of survival and moral dilemmas against the backdrop of a tumultuous historical period, and it can be enjoyed independently or as a continuation of The Berlin Trilogy.
