The story follows Runt Wade, a Vietnam veteran turned sociopath, who thrives on scamming banks and laundering drug money for a CIA splinter group. His seemingly comfortable life with Mai Linn and his ailing mother is disrupted when a man threatens his schemes, and his suppliers turn against him. As he attempts to escape with his ill-gotten gains, he becomes the target of a relentless female detective and her senior citizen ally, who are determined to bring him to justice. The tension escalates as the hunter becomes the hunted.
