Belladonna

Set in 1757 England, the story follows Thomas Rose, a resourceful yet uneducated young man, and the determined Ling as they embark on a quest to find her beloved circus horse, Belladonna. Along their journey, they encounter the renowned painter George Stubbs, who studies animal anatomy through euthanasia. Despite the grim nature of his work, Stubbs provides reassurance that Belladonna is safe at a nearby estate, intertwining themes of friendship, adventure, and the complexities of human-animal relationships.
