Focusing on supply chain management (SCM) practices in India's automobile industry, this doctoral research identifies gaps between expectations and actual adoption of SCM strategies such as supplier relationship management (SRM), customer relationship management (CRM), lean management (LM), and information and communication technology (ICT). Utilizing surveys, face-to-face interviews, and email inquiries, the study analyzes data up to 2019 to highlight inefficiencies in cost management among Indian automobile companies and propose solutions for improvement.
