Rasselas, a prince confined to a picturesque valley, yearns for a deeper understanding of happiness. Tired of his sheltered life, he escapes with his sister Nekayah, her companion Pekuah, and his friend Imlac to explore the world. Their journey takes them to Egypt, where they engage with different social classes and experience mild adventures, all while seeking the elusive nature of true happiness.
